Faculty of Law and Public Administration Receives French Cultural Attaché

The French Consulate’s Counselor of the Cooperation and Cultural Action in Jerusalem Augustin Favereau accompanied by the Attaché of the Institutional and the University Cooperation, Olivier Dufour,  Scholarships and Exchange Officer, Xavier Sau and the French Cooperation Coordinator at the Faculty of Law and Public Administration in Birzeit University, Said Khalil visited the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Yasser Al Amouri on January 28,2014.  The two sides discussed deepening the joint cooperation between the Faculty and the French consulate.

Both parties agreed on the importance of maintaining strong ties, which are deepened every year by the French Universities Consortium, and the academic development of the faculty and its students.

Amouri emphasized France’s prominent role in supporting academic progress in the Law Faculty, pointing out that the joint programs that the two sides have are bearing very fruitful results. In turn, Favereau affirmed the Consulate’s keen interest in enhancing its cooperation with the faculty and said that he expects that the near future will see more constructive and fruitful collaboration between the two parties in service of education.

The delegation also met with university president Abdel Latif Abu Hijleh and discussed the preparations for the French Universities Consortium to be held in the coming months.
