Birzeit University President Khalil Hindi signed an agreement with representatives of the Zamn Coffee Shop Chain Company, Huda Jack and Ahmad Owaidah, allowing the popular chain to build and manage a café on the BZU campus.

The signing ceremony was attended by Vice President for Advancement Ghassan Khatib, Vice President for Administrative Affairs Adel Zagha, President's Office Director Isa Masriyah, engineering office Manager Bishara Abu-Ghannam and Public Relations Deputy Director Lubna Abdel-Hadi.

According to the agreement, the new coffee shop will provide healthy food services to students and the university community. Implementation will commence in coming months, and the café is expected to open its doors on April 1, 2014.

"We hope that this agreement will be the beginning of other income-generating projects that will benefit the university community and students,” President Hindi said.

Zamn’s representative Jack said that the agreement was a dream come true and thanked the university administration for the opportunity.
