The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs oversees
the
application of the university's mission, which provides excellence in
the fields of
higher education and scientific research, and community service. The
Office of Academic Affairs is considered a key backbone in the
university
because of the role it plays in achieving an excellence in the academic
activities of university.
The Vice President is responsible for the development of academic activities at the university and improve the levels of teaching and research, and therefore he is responsible for:
- Supervise the work of the faculties and formal teaching at Institutes.
- Supervise the work of the University Library.
- Supervise the work of the Deanship of Student Affairs.
- Supervise the work of the Department of Registration and Admission, including financial assistance.
- Supervision over the affairs of faculty members and teaching and research assistants.
- Supervision of the scientific research of the academic staff at the university.
- Chairing the Academic Council, and follow up the implementation of its decisions.
- Supervise the development of academic programs for the teaching staff through scholarships and participation in scientific activities.
